Do yourself a favour and download a Android4.0.4 FW, stay clear of any 4.0.3 FWs, Samsung screwed up 4.0.3 but they completely fixed everything in their 4.0.4 FWs, my S2 still on 4.0.4, running beautifully.

Just downloaded the official Samsung JellyBean Test Rom....and I am in absolute heaven.

It literally feels that someone took my S2 out of my hand and put a S3 in it.

The homescreens are incredibly smooth, it looks beautiful, the widgets are so much more useful...and, the most useful feature for me....Smart Stay!!

Until this moment I was hellbent on getting a Galaxy S3, but that urge has just vanished into thin air. :)

The biggest and best smartphone buy for 2012 will be a Samsung Galaxy S2 running Samsung's Jelly Bean Rom.

How cool is this? Access my radio player, music player and video player from one screen, with one tap.

And Jelly Bean allows you to stretch widgets as you like....

So, thanks Nova Launcher for standing in while I was waiting for Jelly Bean, but now I don't need you anymore. I did however need my SwiftKey Keyboard, which works flawlessly with Jelly Bean.

I got today an Galaxy 2. Where can I download the Jellybean ROM?

It's not a production ROM, it's a Test ROM.

The official ROM should not be too far away....who knows, Samsung might give all the S2 owners a S3 mini+ before Christmas? :)

Hi all,

I want to buy some spare batteries for my SGS2, and came across this set recommended by the guys at XDA. It fits in the standard back cover which is great, however the performance of the battery exceeds that of the stock battery. It is available from Amazon @ R 180. Have a look here.

My question, what is the easiest, quickest way to actually get these batteries delivered to my door?

It has been impossible to put my S2 down since I've upgraded it to Samsung's Jelly Bean Test ROM.

Just incredible fun to play with and use my phone again.

JB on my phone is definitely the best mobile phone experience I've had in my entire life.

Yes, it's that good. :)

ROFL!!

Can't believe how good this is. :)

I just discovered that you can even assign a wallpaper to the Messaging app and change the colors and shapes of your text bubbles!!

And the phone dialer is incredible!

And how have you guys found the battery life?
I'm on Omega 16.2 JB ROM, also loving it..but lost just under 30% overnight
I didn't do a clean wipe when upgrading though..could that be a cause?

With PhilZ kernel, overnight great but daytime a bit heavy

Coz its a royal pain in the @ss to set everything up again (unless you rooted and use titanium backup)

It's pretty much a given to have Titanium if are a flashaholic, otherwise it's just pointless. Not doing full wipes are well known to cause issues and then you inevitably have to redo everything and do a full wipe anyway. So you're just wasting time.
