Might be incorrect battery stats, had that on my Nexus 7, then I moved the charger to its own wall plug away from the multiplug and all is good, also try a different charger as obviously something is wrong with battery reporting if it dies at 35%

Now that you've mentioned it, I've got GO Power installed and I think that's what giving me incorrect stats. I think I'll need to do a factory reset to be 100% sure.

Here's a question I don't remember being answered to my satisfaction: I have bought and installed the extended battery. Do I need to reset battery stats to benefit properly?

The S2 apparently does not need to have its fuel gauge chip reset, so resetting battery stats doesn't really offer any benefit from what I have read. It's normally recommended for when you have battery issues.

By the way- I figured out and fixed the annoying "lockscreen clock not fitting" issue that I was having with Resurrection Remix 3.1.3. All I had to do was change the DPI (changed from the standard 240 to 220). After I rebooted, everything was perfect!

After you've given the battery a 100% charge, just switch off the phone, take the battery out for five minutes. Then put it back and switch the phone on.

That's it.

Thanks, all. My battery works perfectly well until the late afternoon, when is suddenly seems to lose a large percentage very quickly - with no change in usage.

I'll reset the stats (no harm done either way) and see if makes a difference. I haven't done so since using the extended battery...

Enable the battery percentage under Display Settings, worked for me.

But...it does take a while before the battery starts working optimally.

How long have you been using your extended battery? Sometimes it takes a few charge cycles to work optimally...

Could also be a kernel bug causing the large drain... but BBS would be a better way to pinpoint it...

The battery stats is just the list of programs and how much battery they use, resetting it doesn't change anything except for resetting those numbers

You talking about in Settings, or in CWM Recovery, or are they the same thing?

Seems that they are the same thing:

This file [batterystats.bin] is used to maintain, across reboots, low-level data about the kinds of operations the device and your apps are doing between battery changes. That is, it is solely used to compute the blame for battery usage shown in the "Battery Use" UI in settings. That is, it has deeply significant things like "app X held a wake lock for 2 minutes" and "the screen was on at 60% brightness for 10 minutes."

It has no impact on the current battery level shown to you. It has no impact on your battery life

So after owning this phone for ages, I finally flashes. Couldn't be bothered to wait for the OTA update.

I have version 4.1.2 but I still get a lock screen glitch. It also feels a little more unstable than my ICS was specifically within apps and sometimes just randomly hangs for a few seconds.

Overall, I love jelly bean and for once touchwiz is a really nice UI.

So when I flashed, I obviously lost how my phone was set up, and I mean how my apps were layed out etc. Is there anyway to back it up so that when I update to 4.1.3 it won't completely reset everything, or will an incremental update not cause havoc?

For lock screen issues, flash Siyah 6.0beta4 or switch off wi-fi.

If it is true that the official non-leaked JB version will repartition the memory (add 1GB to system memory), then you will have to do everything over again.

How stable is the beta 4 kernel? Flashed the leaked JB ROM last night (thanks to you guys :)) and so far so good...

Very stable. If you don't like it, flash the stock or PhillZ kernel back.

Thanks for the feedback, will give it a shot... Prefer Siyah in any event.

I must say- while I am used to AOKP and its simplicity, this ROM is pretty darn nice.

Just a question- anyone know how to edit the list of apps in that pop out drawer tab thing (no idea what it is called)?
