The only thing I don't like on that pic is the WIFI icon on top (looks like Gingerbread's icon). Does it show incoming and outgoing connections?

So. My S2 is currently running Neat ROM. Good standard ROM. But... is it the most stable?

I don't know about standard roms, but I'm currently on CyanFox, a Kit-Kat rom that rocks.

It is rock solid! I still have it on my S2. Pretty simple concept Sale follows - he takes the latest stock fw, remove bloatware and as his custom magic. I love the rom. There are plenty of add-ons available too. It is light on juice and with Apolo kernel, I had extremely good battery life.
I totally agree with this. I followed your advice earlier in the thread where you mentioned changing the CPU governor (I think its called). Best battery life on a ROM ever.
However. My thirst for the latest and greatest ROM moved me other roms.
But I can't recommend Neat Rom lite enough.

Same here. Switched over to slimbean a few months ago and haven't bothered looking at other ROMs since. Phone still works great, does what I need it to do...wish the battery life was better. I really don't like the look of the S3 and S4 so not even bothered tbh.

Mine humming along nicely still. The extra extended battery was an awesome investment.

What launcher you using? I'm using the Google experience launcher from the Nexus 5, very simplistic but so snappy and there is never any hint of lag. I'm also getting used to the Google Now integration, can't use other launchers now.

I want to sell mine to get a N5, but these peasants here only want to give me a R1000
Apex Launcher Pro. It's not as snappy as the stock Kit Kat launcher, but I can't use the stock due to the following reasons:
1) Doesn't have advanced gestures.
2) Can't make drawer tabs.
3) Can't change the homescreen tile size.
4) Can't use icons packs.
