SII GT-i9100 still running with 4.1.2 Nordic and Philz CWM working good, maybe want to try a 4.4 ROM... Any Recommendations ?
 
I'm trying to go back to stock Samsung ROM, downloaded the latest XFM from sammobile.
I9100XWLSZ_I9100OJCLS5_XFM.zip
flashing with Odin 3.09.

Now I'm boot looping - why would boot startup show vodacom though? Isn't that XFV, XFM being MTN?

Edit: I have now noticed that the tarball within XFV and XFM has the same checksum. Thanks sammobile. Will try XFA.

What do you guys think I can sell my Galaxy SII for? Going to sell it in Dubai, but I just want 'n comparison. It's the white 16Gb. It has a few bumps where it fell, but nothing serious. Screen is not scratched. Got a new battery about 5 moths ago. Age of the phone is about 2 years and 4 months.

I was thinking somewhere between R1200 and R1500?
 
So I'm finally retiring my SII after almost 2.5 years. Thanks for all the help guys! It's been a pleasure.

You should repurpose instead of retire.
Turn it into your in car GPS.
Turn it into an android stick for your TV.
Turn it into a nanny cam for your house.

Very many options. Don't just let your sgs2 die

Yeah of course. But I can sell it and for a good price then my new phone is going to cost me almost nothing. She served me loyally for years now, but it's time to say goodbye. :(

I have switched to my Note 2 as my daily driver, but still has one S2 left....and I don't want to sell it! :love:

I'm in the same boat, my awesome S2 is sitting on my desk collecting dust :/
We should start a thread with ideas on what to do with old android phones.

I use mine as a photography tool (remote shutter release amongst others)
