It's still perfect to use as a backup for your daily driver.

I've cancelled my insurance on my Galaxy Note 2, which is a R120 saving a month.

My insurance is my S2.

It is still perfect to use daily, mine is slightly faulty though. It loses the wifi and network signal occasionally or if I tap the top of the screen. Apparently its due to some capacitor leaking acid or whatever, and the only way to fix is to replace the board.

Let me google some good ideas for an old android phone

I would most probably still be using mine today, if it wasn't for the fact that I got used to having a 5.5'' display (my Note 2).

Now I find it impossible to go back to a phone with a smaller display. :(
 
guys, im gatvol with my S2 atm. its really pissing me off.

i've brought this up in the thread before, but the typing lag is really getting on my tit now :mad:

i was fiddling with an iPhone 5 this morning while waiting for people to arrive at a meeting, and the difference is extremely noticeable to me. i type really fast and Im sick of my phone not being able to keep up and giving me all sorts of cock n bull predictions coz its just too damn slow!

so instead of going and buying a new iPhone 5s there must be some ROM/kernel combo that I can load that rids me of this terrible scurge!!!

HELP!!! :cry:
 
What keyboard are you using?

I just installed CM 11 nightly and its super fast. I don't use the phone as my main phone so I didn't get a chance to find any bugs with it
 
I'm on slimbean 4.3 with Swype and have never noticed any lag at all. Gonna wait to see what the reviews are like re. the RR rom, but for now I'm still very happy with slimbean.

Been a while since I flashed some goodies. Can I just download the ROM and flash with Odin? Or should I flash a custom recovery and do it from there?

Just not sure which recovery I should use though. Sheesh I wanna just NUKE this entire phone!!!!

Just follow the how to in the link above, you just need the latest CWM and the rom and then voila. Busy installing now.
