That is some great battery life wow.

Actually not - but maybe I was just spoilt with Siyah on ICS. And remember I have a larger battery.

When I'm back in civilization for a long period of time, I will do proper tests and post results. I hope to get 5hrs screen on time over at least 36hrs which I think this setup is capable of.

EDIT: saguran, unfortunately you won't be able to play with Apollo since it is for stock (type) roms only. CM and Apollo won't play nicely together

For me, the Focal app is not working, everything else is working so far.

Ah that's a shame, my battery life with CM10 is good enough though for me at the moment.

did you start from a full wipe?

did you start from a full wipe?

Last night's flash was a dirty flash (not a full wipe) from 10.1, had some stability issues so did a full wipe this morning and re-flashed. everything working much better today and the phone is more stable.
recommend you don't restore apps from 10.1 - had issues and had to re-install them
loving the new camera interface though, much cleaner and easier to use.
new dialler is really good and more functionally appealing than in 10.1

the focal app is crashing the camera and after that the camera wont work so rather stay away from it.
should be able to report on battery life at the end of the day. on 10.1 i was getting to 5pm with about 70% battery left
some graphic issues when phone rotates orientation - notification bar looks like its not re-drawing properly

all in all i think it is usable and the devs have done an amazing job to get it to us this fast. future updates will address a lot of the issues

I'm at it again... I stumbled upon Apollo kernel and now using pegasusq governer with sio scheduler and have at least 20% (rough guesstimate) better battery life.

I am using my phone much more as previously - especially phone calls and the 3G coverage is shocking where I am now. Both drain the battery life quite badly.

Before this kernel, I reached 30% by 5pm, now it is up - 50%. screen on time +- 3.5hrs and between 60-90 minutes talktime. This all on a 2000mAh battery.

I am using NeatRom Lite with Apollo Regular 4.9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291756

I miss the Siyah kernel days on ICS tremendously (2 days battery life) and PhilZ kernel on JB did not deliver as I wished it would. Apollo is very stable - I will be using this for the foreseeable future. If I find time to play, I will tweak it to see if I can get to 1.5 days with the heavy usage and crap 3G.

Nice find. I used to use the pegasusuq / sio scheduler combo.

I agree with you that Siyah kernel on and ICS ROM delivered the greatest battery life ever...

Focal is still an alpha release, but it does have great potential...

Good news, I think I will do a clean flash as well. I did a dirty one and there are a few bugs.

Haha.

I've now done a fresh install of CM10.2 for the SII. Nightly 2013-08-15, will report how it goes. I also see that on the CM website, there is a new version for GApps, specifically for Android 4.3 and CM10.2. I did not see this earlier. This could help with this issues I had with Drive and Keep crashing.

The Resurection Remix 4.0.6 release with pitch black is pretty sweet, very stable and the animations rock.

Does the video camera work properly on CM10.2?

Grr, after rebooting somehow managed to get my S2 stuck in a boot loop. Custom recovery looks borked. Really didn't feel like this tonight, looks like odin it is.

I have to agree, CM10.2 for the Samsung Galaxy S II is great, but Focal is extremely unstable at this point in time. It tends to not always connect to the camera correctly, and then causes some issues. When it does work though, it's pretty damn smooth.
