Ok. So I've loaded on ICS LP4... All went well. Phone is running smoothly. However my phone now struggles to pick up my wifi signal in my room whereas before loading it on, it always connected without a problem.

yup, get "avoided poor internet connection" error, despite having excellent signal to my router. I have a wireless access point in my house that's hard wired to my router and it works 100% fine with that, but refuses to connect direct to my router

Hopefully it improves with future updates. Any reason why my contacts aren't showing their facebook pictures? Have synced accounts and some photos show but not all of them.
 
If you have problems with your wifi or any other modem related issue, try another ICS built modem until you get one which works for you.
 
So my battery is not charging. Plug in cable but the power is not increasing. Did this overnight. Removed it, wiped battery stats. I'm running MIUI ICS.

By mentioning the OS, I guess you did not try and charge the phone while it was switched off, maybe its worth a try to take that out of the equation ?

If it does you know you have a hardware issue, this might be anything from buildup on the battery connectors, to something stuck inside the phones connector (dust or a small paper) to a faulty cable.
 
I have the SGS2 19100....Is there anyone here in JHB or JHB South that has time that can help me load the latest firmware, Ice cream 4.0.3 etc I have no idea how or where to start, I bought the phone which is already rooted and no matter what I cannot get it to sync with Kies, Please can someone help me!

For some weird reason its now charging. Just slower than usual. Took me 2 hours to get from 68 to 98 percent. This is not normal.

I would start to worry after the 3rd time, seeing that you cleared the battery stats is it possible that it needed to recalibrate the full %

Oh and why are you still on Beta 5? 6 and even the full versions are out :)

thanks for procedure - must just add to that procedure to DE ACTIVATE the "RUN Samsung KIES automatically when device is connected" feature. other wise pretty straight forward.
