totally worth it. had to buy a new battery after mine started screwing around. original battery was swolen and died after a minute of heavy use.

new battery gives my around 3.5hours or so of screen on time, so i get through a day with ease and two days if i push myself. :)
 
question:
i've just flashed my phone with resurrection 3.1.2 and had a hard time figuring out why it inverted the colours all of a sudden (what a daft feature). how do i force my phone to stay on 3g/hsdpa until i say otherwise? i often get swapped to edge and then the internets dies.
 
I got the extended battery, and the charger thing for another 130 or so. Totally worth it, while ur using one battery the other is charging.

And kalaharis service is so good.

Hi,
I just flashed the leaked JB, and now my S2 wont find my Samsung network printer??? It was working before the flash. Is there a setting i need to toggle?

It's a TEST ROM, so don't expect it to be stable & work with everything.

That said, what kind of printer is it? Wireless?

True that, getting mine tomorrow.

Already purchased the battery charger dock, as it will be cool to charge one, while using the other one.

And I think I'm gonna need it, the Test ROM chows through my battery in less than 24 hours. :eek:

But I just love using it. It is the most awesome thing of 2012.

I dont see how the battery provides more power my stock battery is 2000mAh by default.
 
I think I figured out why this Test ROM sucks my battery flat in less than 24 hours.

The Auto Brightness is screwed up, or Samsung mixed the code up with the HD Flashlight code.

Just untick Auto Brightness and drag the display brightness slider on the homescreen notifications down as much as you can.

Also noticed this. Even on min its still damn bright!

Also I'm finding the battery life much the same as cm10. The battery drain must be due to jellybean and not this exact firmware. Disabled gps location for some extra battery time.
 
Ok I really want this battery now, ordering it asap. Two questions: do any of your covers still fit around the new battery cover? And do I really have to wait 15 working days for delivery from Kalahari??? Is there anyway to speed it up? I know it doesn't seem like it but maybe i missed something :P
 
I installed the 4.1.2 JB official rom and bought the extended battery from kalahari for 300. My S2 now lasts a full day with heavy usage and always on 3g/wifi. EPIC :D
 
If you buy the battery kit, it comes with the cover needed for the bigger battery. And yes any of the previous covers still fit just fine with the new cover. The phone just doesnt have that little dent in it at the back anymore, plain flat and square

It is working this today, so must have been a network error or something.

It is a normal LAN printer.
 
I've had the extended battery for ages now. My 2 soft cases still fit, a Belkin and a no name brand. Hard cases don't fit, like my heavy duty Cygnet and capcase. I gave them away. The desktop dock still fits alright. Car audio dock is the bit more snug though.

The extended battery + cover gives my S2 a premium feel and look.

I'm pretty sure mine arrived quicker than that. If I'm not mistaken is was about a week :/ but you just gotta wait unfortunately.

+1. I prefer the straight back look, and the extra heft makes the phone feel even more premium. The camera lens is also protected by the slight recess. Should have been the default, in my opinion.
