there is a multi window option, the synv icon is removed from the drop down menu. So far thats' what I found. Anything else?

-Brightness Slider in Notification Panel Can Now Be Disabled
-Smart Rotation (Screen Display adjusts to your angle of sightings)
-Continues Input in Samsung Keyboard (Like Swipe or Android 4.2 Keyboard)
-Paper Artist App
-Group Cast App

So just discovered if you pull the notification down with 2 fingers you go directly to quick settings

I didn't know about that either. Probably won't use it as it's quick to access anyway, but useful info nonetheless.

The Smart Rotation function is quite hand if you have your phone set to auto rotate. Settings - display - features - Smart Rotation.

Hi all

My wife is having an issue with emails coming through on her exchange account using ActiveSync via 3G on Vodacom:
I've checked her apn settings ( named it Internet and leave rest blank correct?), checked with her work IT admin and removed her account and setup fresh again and all went well with that. Work is using Exchange 2010, with SSl authentication and a web mail server (owa).
Funny thing is, when she is on wifi at home her exchange emails come through and everything syncs as expected, but as soon as wifi is off , no syncing and no emails pushed. The sync/refresh icon just spins around and around perpetually :(
Checked that the sync icon in the pull down menu is on and also that background process is not blocking emails.
She is on 4.1.1.
Anyone care to offer an explanation?
I've also tried to power down her phone numerous times etc.
Her gmail syncs just fine as well as Internet browsing works just fine on 3G/HSDPA/EDGE.
I'm pretty baffled...
She really needs her work email as she is mobile...
Thanks in advance

Edit:Vodacom signal is good at home, and we have tried at numerous other locations where signal is excellent to eliminate a signal issue.
She is using the standard email client from Samsung.

I have a similar setup, but I am on Cell C + Android 4.1.2. I am able to Sync with exchange.

You are probably going to have to go trough a process of elimination.

Can you try with another sim/ or hotspot from another network to see if it is related to vodacom?

Does her account work on another android handset?
If so, try to reset or update firmware or both.
If not, check with exchange admin that her account has mobile access.

Thanks for the feedback Park@82
No other Android devices at hand.
Her iPad syncs her exchange emails, but again that,s on our home wifi and she never takes her IPad to work.
We are all on Vodacom here.
I told her to go back to IT admin to re-check her account for mobile access etc.
Anything specific she should ask that they might have overlooked?

Thanks again.
