SARS E-Filing 2019 OPEN!

Just checked on my Statement of Account - there was an EFT transaction (payment out) dated today then another line for a reversal of that transaction... wonder whats going on
 
I wonder who decides whether your audit and verification takes 7 days, 21 or 60 days. I think if you are unlucky the guy handling your file is just a lazy bugger and tosses your file to the side.

As far as I can tell it has nothing to do with the complexity of your case. Last two years my amount due was R0.00 and yet I was still selected for audit and verification which took 2 months.

thats a damn fine question........every morning they flip a coin to see wether they will work or not.
 
Got all excited when I saw I had an email from this morning. It was a survey request asking how satisfied I am with them. Why on earth would you send a survey half way through the process? No way I am filling anything in until I have money in my account!

Anyways, in SARS defense tax returns via efiling while not perfect is so much better than manual submissions of a decade ago or so. It took me less than 20 minutes to file, upload docs, the works. Much better than previous years. And I see a lot of people get paid out in 2 to 3 weeks, would be very happy with that especially if seeing as it includes the audit. My worst tax return was around 2008 and it took 3 years to resolve and get paid out. They also withheld all future years payouts until that one was resolved.

Got the same mail last week. i have been into the link and its as usual all about SARS, nowhere does it ask how pleased we are about the veification process timeframe, and the inability to confirm refunds due.

Yes the positivity, please pray that they do not request supporting documentation as their upload page is not working. I have emailed, and i know that will even take longer. We might really see our refunds on the 1st August.

Hang in there, the 21 days are almost up... surely they will do the right thing and resolve our cases. There are thousands of people who filed after us, they also need attention. Will keep you posted
 
Hi submitted on the 3rd chosen for verification uploaded docs on the 3rd. Checked my statement of account now its says
01/08/2019 transaction reference 37 . does it mean im getting paid on the 1st

Did you recieve a completion letter ?

You will see a specific line item that says Electronic Refund when the refund is allocated. Usually within 7 working days from the completion letter.

Have you received the completion letter. If not they are still busy with the verification, however, 21 business days expire on the 01st August 2019.
