Also sitting at Tuks :/ Well it was superfast with the University almost closed, but now it is super DOWN (International = the Internet) :(

Having problems connecting to certain international IP's..

completely dead on these, was working 10min ago.

14:58, dropped like 5 mins ago :(
I mean, I'm not a SEACOM customer but Afrihost. Is it asked too much for them having a redundancy network? As the end user it shouldn't be my concern to even know or care about on what kind of backbone my data travels. But it is the ISP's responsibility to supply us with a working connection to the interwebz.

Mmhh. Most international sites work for me but are very slow. Can anyone confirm if this is a Seacom Issue?

Yup, internet connectivity issues here. AfriHost 50GB Capped.

Have heard this before as well and now someone will say "Well, you get what you pay for" and then the whole things starts again. Yawn

Yeah, unfortunately it would be the case that Tel**** charges too much for redundancy capacity on SAT3 and SAFE. hopefully EASSy etc will help. MainONE anyone? :)

What do I pay for then? Just because Afrihost has the bestest prices in SA doesn't make their offers perticularly cheap. We still pay our asses off for connection to the internet. And right now we're paying for NO connection to the inernet. That's bad in any aspect, isn't it?

It's Internet Solutions, not Afrihost. I pay large amounts for a direct uncapped account with IS and I'm having the same problem as the pay-as-you-go Afrihost guy.

IS international slow as anything and they're not cheap as far as I'm concerned...
