Sim Sonke

Getting mine soon, have to sort out proof of address (as the area where I live does not get post delivered) and I am staying with my cousin so nothing is in my name. Sigh, will get through the red tape at some point...

Just write an affidavit at the police station with your ID number on it stating your address, also have a copy of your ID that way they can certify both as PROOF, you shouldn't have an issue.

Thank you Telkom SimSonke for allowing this product to roam on MTN, already ported my number over to them! Already saving hundreds or not thousands, everyone at the office is doing the same to bring down cost as well. I couldn't believe I was talking for over 20minutes to a colleague roaming on MTN. Paid only R6,00 (give or take billed per second),not only that also received an SMS from TM that they will match any recharge value within a 7 day period> If I recharge with R500 today, seems they will give me R500 absolutely for free. If that is the case might add another 60 GIG on the line if I can use the free airtime value to be used to convert to data

I doubt it will work, worth to try.
Are you sure free airtime doesn't expire? Transfer your paid airtime to another number and see what you can do with bonus airtime. If works, it would be another cracker deal.

Hi RichardG

You can only use free airtime to make calls, send sms's , and browse the internet. You cannot transfer free airtime or purchase data with free airtime.

There are so many loopholes as is. I loaded a few hundreds already on my mothers account :) Sofar no free airtime whatsoever, maybe it will take 7 days or so to process will let you know.

Are you sure it is Sim Sonke or some previous SIM deals which I benefited personally from bonus airtime (it could be also used for purchasing data bundles).
Re: Sim Sonke, see oficial rep post.

Re: Sim Sonke, see oficial rep post.

Definitely did receive an SMS on the Sim Sonke line but it wasn't 100% free airtime, recharge and receive 50 % free airtime back will see if I still have the SMS. Received 2 promotional SMS in the same week on the same line

Hi RichardG

You only receive free airtime when you are on 8ta More prepaid plan and not on SIM Sonke. The below are some of the benefits that you will receive when you recharge on the SIM Sonke Prepaid Plan:

- If you recharge from R5 to R19.99 you will get 5 free SMSs valid until 23:59 on date of recharge. In addition, you will qualify for free night calls from your Telkom Mobile SIM-SONKE number to another SIM-SONKE number. The free calls benefit will be valid from 9pm to 6am the following day.
- If you recharge with R20 or more you will get 20 free SMSs valid for 7 days. In addition, you will qualify for free night calls from your Telkom Mobile SIM-SONKE number to another SIM-SONKE number. The free calls benefit will be valid for 7 days from date of recharge. (E.g. if you recharge on 04/06/13 the benefit will be valid from 9pm until 11/06/13 at 6am.)

More, More, More promotions Sim-Sonke is starting to seriously appeal to me loving all their promotions they have weekly.

Yesterday received another sms from Sin-Sonke.
We know u LUV SIM-SONKE, so keep using it for another 7 days and u will get 1 free minute for every rand u recharge from today. So, in weej;s time u will get FREE minutes to call any SA network, any time. Ts & Cs apply.

BTW the other promotion wasn't for free airtime as stated(under the impression you could dial any network) but instead the airtime received was to call another SIM-SONKE/Telkom Mobile user.

yeppie!!!

R20 for 7 days now offers free calls to any Telkom Mobile .....
8ta more can now change tariff to sim-sonke :)

My MTN contract expires on the 4th and I'm chaning to sim-sonke. It really is the best at the moment.

If people are willing to change to TM. I bought TM airtime by mistake yesterday, and I put it on my Facebook. Not even 1 claim.

Wow they finally allow 8ta more sims to change to sim sonke..... That means the prepaid internet staterpack from telkom mobile can now be on sim sonke.... Finally.
