Skyworth Binge Android TV box

Eish all this managed to do was unpair the remote. Now remote doesn't work!

That link is just an example. Google how to get into recovery mode/reset on a Xiaomi Mi Box - it involves pressing buttons on the remote simultaneously etc .

It is all running Android TV , so hopefully there are similarities in the recovery /reset.

All this did was unpair the remote!! Now dunno how to pair remote!!! Not having much joy with this!! :-(

Is this technically the same hardware as the LIT? Same processor, RAM, Ethernet etc?

Takealot.com has exclusivity for 3 months with the option to extend those 3 months if things go well.
At-least that's what I have heard.

As for pricing - I think it will be roughly the same with some specials running here and there.

Hello all,

I bought one from Takealot and it delivered on Friday. Small box, WiFi and Lan capability, remote control (with batteries) and HDMI cable included in box. Plugged it in to the TV and downloaded some Apps, but Netflix isn't supported and I cannot find info to try get it sorted. Showmax and DSTV Now work perfectly though.

I am considering using Netflix from my phone and Chromecast to mirror to the box but yet to try that out. Anyone else had any luck in getting Netflix to work?

But surely then, they wouldn't be advertising Game etc at the bottom of the site ?

Casting Netflix should work I presume. What I would like to know - which quality will play on the TV ? Since the box is not Netflix certified , would casting automatically be at the highest resolution possible , or would the casting function be hampered by the certification issue ?

No, it isn't.

I just don't imagine Game or Dion saying, 'cool ... just let us know when you're free - we'll wait for you to choose'. Plus to get the actual logistics right in supplying those mass retailers, they must have started this process already - that alone can take months

I just know that retail - especially the big guys - can move at glacial pace at times ;) So my *guess* would be that they've started the process of stocking / logistics already (if not very soon).

Just at the bottom of this page 'coming soon' ... I think if it's advertised already, we'll see it shortly in those stores, regardless of whether Takealot want longer exclusivity .
