Any outdoor cameras that are poe and have backup batteries?

I like the Wyze cameras with outdoor covers.

Re the Wyze cameras, have a look at the link below - if you take this route, make sure that you buy the type of power bank that allow simultaneous charging and power provision to the camera.

POE if you can, if you need to run power you might as well run a network cable. Then the only thing you need to power the switch with a UPS.

I want to use POE but have batteries as backup.


My security system wireless but worried about batteries ito cost, so want poe but batteries as backup for eskom loadshedding.

For Wyze.

So POE and then switch needs to be on a UPS or similar.

Thanks ... better as UPS can power routers as well

You’re aware that the Wyze cams don’t have an ethernet port? So you’ll need to adapt from CAT5/whatever to a micro USB to supply the cam with power.

Wyze just doesnt make sense for this use case at all.
I think you need to figure out what you want out of the system and then relook at the hardware requirements.
 
You could look for these adapters locally, or import a few. I'd still double-check the pinout from adapter to camera:

Injecter plus + Wifi camera, rather just get a proper POE camera. Same price, less complexity.
 




Seems the ezviz husky system is POE despite wifi ability. My only issue is that I cant find an nvr more than 8 channels for ezviz.

My option seems to be:

Maybe look for suitable Hikvision products, then double-check compatibility with the Ezviz cameras.
 
Ezviz is massively locked down to only work with compatible products, no open RTSP.
