Just downloaded Camstasia, then AVS. Not my take at all. Now there's many of them there. Which do you okes suggest I get? Don't want something complex, but with some strong degree of control and featured. What do you guys use? Editing a wedding for a friend.

Pinnacle Studio is the way to go, especially if you're a beginner video editor. It's very easy to use!

Otherwise, try Vegas Movie Studio HD.

Both of those are excellent consumer video editing products.

And if you're up for a challenge, download the 30day trial of Adobe Premiere (there's barely any limitations in the trial period) and edit it in that.

Good luck :-)

Ok I know Adobe, isn't Pinnacle in the same league in terms of grasping the UI and features?

I use Videopad Video Editor. It's simple to use but includes most features necessary for average video editing. Once the trial expires, you can keep it free and only lose minor features such as saving as mp4.

I've used more complex video editors but they're loaded with features I almost never use, so I prefer Videopad. One thing I appreciate about Videopad is that it's really simple to get render settings right.

Isn't Microsoft's free Live Movie Maker getting any love?

Pretty decent for entry-level.
