By reading the original thread as well as reading the feedback from FNB.How do you support the claim that it should not have been shown to Firefox or Chrome?
Fair enough those reasons make senseThat was really the spokesperson's job. This is not a web developer blog, so I don't think it's necessary that we explain how an <!--IF lte ie 7> tag works, and we can't put words in their mouth or make assumptions about what happened without justification for why we make those assumptions.

What is this fail? rofl. Glad I'm not with FNB...
Internet Explorer has to make a commercial to get people to use it even though it’s already automatically installed in every pc.
there I've dealt with it

Changing banks because of a browser, we have some extremely petty people on this forum![]()
F**k it, no option to download the browser of your choice...
In MS's pocket FNB?Surely a pop-up with links to Safari,Chrome,Firefox,Opera and....Internet Explorer 10> would have been appropriate. This alone would make me change banks if not for the inconvenience.![]()
FAIL!!!!
Why should they link you to all browsers? You got there through IE so the only responsible thing is to assume that you want another version of IE. Calm down please
A number of Firefox and Chrome users were greeted with the troubling message..
Commercial?
I like the layout of IE (have chrome installed and use it for only 1 website) and IE10 even has spell checker now lol.
EDIT:
Tabs above address bar?![]()
Only IE7 is affected. Headline is misleading IMHO
I would not have necessarily gotten there via IE and therefore expect to be given the choice of staying with my preferred browser or upgrading my preferred browser if it's due for an upgrade and not be forced to MS's website.
Otherwise still a FAIL!! ...Whew! There now, I'm all calm.![]()
I hear what you're saying, but you must understand that only users using IE7 were ever supposed to see that message. So the original intenent of the developer was to assume you were an IE user and that is why they direct you to upgrade IE.

I laughed hard when I first saw this and I even woke up in the middle of the night and laughed some more. Classic.
