Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

So far only basic (default) setup. Using an Xbox 360 wireless controller which methinks is the biggest problem as these controllers are not properly supported by Android and Android TV. I want to get a Bluetooth controller or XB360 wired controller soon.

So far these games tested plays perfectly:
Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat 4
Crash Bandicoot
Tomb Raider 1

But this is at original crappy resolution and 4:3 ratio. I still want to tinker and improve res and change to 16:9 but for some reason the controller don't allow me to change menu options when a rom is loaded.

I battled to find a good controller. XB360 controller is a bit pricey.

Also i want to connect 2 controllers - not sure if you have managed to do that - so you can play multiplayer games

I bought a LIT today. Really impressed with it and thinking of getting another one.

I just need to figure out how to control it with my phone, if possible.

Just out of interest, you WANT to use your phone as a remote control?

I can't think of anything worse ;) Isn't it easier to pick up the normal remote control and click, as opposed to a phone?

I want to use my phone and the remote, depending on the task. The remote's arrows/wheel don't feel like it will last long.

I'm hopefully wrong.

You can also try the Cetusplay app. It used to work for me on my previous phone but on my new phone it's giving problems. The best thing about it for me was using your phone keyboard to type on your Android TV screen when typing/searching.

Another similar app, which I haven't used yet, and might need to be sideloaded is Droidmote.

Remote Android TV. Works very well so far and is more recently updated.

What I tested:
- Google Assistant
- Remote
- Keyboard
- Mouse

Edit: mouse is actually touchpad, but work great

This video is very funny, thanks. :D

I'm going to try it tomorrow, but I see it needs a client (phone) and server (TV box) installed.
