So apparently Telkom doesn't want to keep it's customers.
Was told today they no longer convert pstn lines to voip.
No longer support copper exchanges and don't want our business.
Say it ain't so Joe *tia* *smh*

They definitely do.
Someone at telkom is probably lying to you because they are too lazy to do their job.
 
There is an easy solution. Just port your number to a trusted voip provider. Some will even do this free of charge, and the calls should be cheaper. Majority of calls are to mobiles these days, not Telkom. You do not need a landline provider anymore. Those days are over.
