Common trend to be noted....

In your PM you need to include your details including your ADSL line number and fault ref number if you have one, with a description of the problem being experienced. This will ensure a faster response.

Telkom seems to have sorted out my ping, but my DL speeds seem a bit lower than what they used to be:

Well here in PTA east, especially after like 18:00 my line also becomes very unstable with latencies fluctuating from about 300ms back down to 40 en back up again while night through on JHB servers...maybe the lines are congested.

Is it possible for you to give any information on VDSL or MSAN rollout in our area? I'm connected to the Fourways exchange and live in the Lonehill area. I see we have one Fibre Cabinet on Crestwood Drive - in the northern part of Lonehill.. But I'm still sitting on 63db (too far from the exchange).

TelkomZA, I've applied for the 20mb line and when I log in to the Telkom site the status says 'executing'. How long will it take to go through? and if they confirmed the activation on the system, this means that my line is definitely capable of 20mb right? Should I go ahead and purchase a VDSL router in the mean time?

I've just moved house, and Telkom was taking rather long to activate the ADSL (>2weeks). One PM to TelkomZA and it was sorted the next day. Thanks TelkomZA!
