TelkomZA

Just wanted to thank TelkomZA (Terrick). He has been fantastic assisting me sort out the fault on my line and also my DSL sync speed. Hopefully will get it resolved soon but am seriously impressed with the level of support I have been afforded.

I have 2 ADSL lines at home. I would like to cancel the one line but when I called the call center they say I need to go to Telkom Store.
How can I cancel the one line without having the headache of standing in massive queue at the stores??

Hi all,any idea how long it takes to up a line speed? i'm on 4mbps and requested 10mbps bump but its day 3 and nothing yet :/

I've applied for a landline multiple times through calling, online on your site, your online chat and even with email. Afterwards I get a call asking for my credentials and after standard procedure they say its confirme. Now here the fun part, after a day or 2 I check for my reference number using my id they say there's no rrecords under the id. I'd go to the store but there isn't one nearby. Like wtf, ive wasted airtime and data on this without results time and time again. Y'all just suck

@TelkomZA Stop closing my calls when you have not fixed the issue!!! 12Mbps ADSL runs at 4Mbps. 19CWK060716 and 270CWK090716

Hello,
Please help. I stay in Knysna, after 4 months of trying to get ADSL line installed at my house, I have just had a technician come out and he told me that there is no box near my house.
So he told me that I have to pay to get a private electrician to come and create the spot that he can wire. Surely this is telkoms duty?
Please explain

Goodbye Charl (TelkomZA) .......

Hi,

Can anyone tell me who I can contact to remove my ADSL account from this FLIPPIN Telkom ASSIA system. I'm on a 20meg which was when it was syncing 20mb was 100%. I'm now sitting at 16mb sync and I've had endless issues. TelkomZA??????

Best you can do is PM telkomZA as they do not respond to posts here...Tell them your issue and ask them to test the line without ASSIA present, best you keep a few test results and screen shots of your line stats, before you ask them to remove it, and run some more tests and take screenshots when its disabled. This way you have proof of poor performance on ASSIA. It took me 3 months to be added to the ASSIA exclusion list :). Good Luck!

I agree here, it takes some time but it is worth it in the end.

DSL Line recently dropped from 12 mbps to 10 mbps now 8 mbps Tx. to ASSIA picking up Line Issues and compensating, friendly guy from Telkom investigating why ASSIA is actively managing the Line and what the fault is.

Seems like ASSIA is doing some good in helping resolve issues as the Telkom guy could have a look into the history and see what it was doing on the line but will have to wait and see, Line was quite stable at 12 mbps for the last couple of months.

So patiently waiting for Telkom Tech to come out.

LOL going through previous posts this TelkomZA forum is just as full of empty promises as the rest of Telkom's after sales services.

That's the max allowed distance for 40mb if I'm not mistaken, some people have been lucky enough to get a stable 20mb line at 2km, it all depends on the copper quality.

i am +- 2km from exchange so just 500m short of qualifying and they did test onsite as well, so guess my area is not one of those lucky ones.
