The 2016 Way Less Objectivity thread

So went for my discovery assesment today, all looking good:

Bp 112/72
Sugar 4.2
But.......cholesterol 2.4

This was checked twice by the nurses and been told it's a problem so need too contact my doc regarding meds. Was put on meds two years ago when I had a reading just over 6.
 
2.4? A problem?

Apparently, low cholesterol is also not good for you as the body/blood needs it.

How would it make training more effective?

If you train at certain target heart rates you can improve certain areas. For instance high intenisity exercise is good for building heart and lung capacity but burns less fat and doesn't increase stamina.
Lower heart rates for longer periods is better at burning fat and increasing stamina tut its best if you read up on this sort of thing its too much to explain in one post. You also know how many calories you burn so you can adjust your diet accordingly. Most people think that they burn way more calories than they actually do. To burn 1000 calories you have to do some pretty heavy exercise.

You actually need the breakdown of those numbers.
You could have HDL 1.2, LDL 0.5 and triglycerides 0.7 - which is pretty damn healthy

Yah, the nurses suggest I get blood lab tests done again and the doc can check from there.

What do you use for energy ( Besides coffee) I'm dying in the heat. I just can't keep my head up.

Broke 65kgs last week.5 To go. Six pack still eluding me.
 
So doc got results back from blood test for cholesterol, he's quite happy.

Total: 3.1
LDL: 1.8
HDL: 1

Certainly a good argument that LCHF does not impact cholesterol negatively.
