The 2019 Weight Loss Thread

Forgot to weighin. Will do tomorrow morning. Need to put the scale somewhere obvious. :)

I'll be joining this year again.

Been a see-saw ride for me in terms of fitness and weight.
Seen some highs. Seen some real lows. In general I was just not as committed to my goals as previous years. And I'm not regretting it too much. Had some great fun with the kids and had some stunning culinary experiences at bucket list restaurants through the year.

We have 3 more family dinners and kids birthday parties this week so I will kick off with sign up stats and goals on Monday when I commit 100% again. Will do the dreaded weigh in then as well.

Will be a mixture of Keto, Intermittent Fasting and heavy weightlifting and HIIT training for me.

Back on the wagon today.

- Age: 34
- Male
- Height: 186cm
- Method of Weightloss: Keto & IF for diet. HIIT and heavy weights for exercise.
- Highest Weight Ever: 125kg
- Weight at sign-up: 105kg
- Goal Weight : 95kg

Still waiting for my scale to arrive... My current scale says 117kg, but it is impossible, I am closer to 125kg. Hopefully it will arrive this week.

No. Beetroot is chock full of sugar. Also afterwards you can't tell if you're bleeding to death out the arse.
Wasn’t aware of the sugar content of beetroot. Thanks for the heads up
Isn't that only in the pre-cooked and sliced, ready to eat stuff that you buy?
I don't think (not know) raw or home cooked beetroot is that bad.

From an article on BBC good food
A 100g serving of raw beets provides:
36 kcals 1.7g protein 0.1g fat 7.6g carbs 2.5g fibre

Down 1.7kg as of this morning at 149 flat.

Considering the way I've been eating (way too much beer and carbs, but no treats) and no exercise, I'm happy with that.
