Ok, please explain slowly to those of us (or probably just me) that has no idea what thar Roms post refers to. Thx

Ok firstly..

SNES = Super Nintendo
GBA - Gameboy Advance
NES - Nintendo

These are all console which you can emulate on the iPhone..

The ROMS are what the game files are called..

So, i go to installer, install snes4iPhone, then add that ROM repo above ^^, go to the SNES Roms Category, install the Super Mario ROM, then open up the emualtor and play Super Mario World on my iPhone :)

You can get the ROMS off of different websites, but thats extra hassle as you still have to transfer them to your iPhone..

so this way, you add the repo and can download ROMS straight to your iPhone and play them :)

Enjoy...

Ok, just got Super Mario. It is so cool. Great job in letting us know about these. Just a huge pity we will have to pay for them in the future.

Worry about that when it comes :)

Enjoy it for now..

Dont forget to install the Genesis emualtor as well (from installer) and get some Genesis roms from the same repo ^ (realised they do have Genesis Roms! )

Download a program called "Boss Tool" from installer... If it doesnt install then uninstall an app to make space for it first..

Run it, choose "Free Disk Space", then relocate Fonts, Ringtones, and lastly Applications....

The reason for this is, by defualt, all the stuff u install gets put on the OS partition (which is 300mb or so big) thats why its telling you you have little disk space..

What Boss Tool does it relocated the Application directory so that all your apps are moved over to the larger partition (the remaining 7.7 GB/15.7GB or so) and whenever you install an App now, it goes onto that larger partition...

So basically you should never get that message again (unless of course that partition is full from Music/Vids etc)

Enjoy...

New Iphone n00by

Hey guys...

I am the proud owner of a new iPhone **gloat** and I need to ask a few questions... pls forgive me if they have been asked in the past, but bear with me, I need to know a few things about this phone.

Its currently running 1.1.3 as firmware revision... obviously if I upgrade the firmware to the latest 1.1.4 the phone will become network locked again. Just how much of a mission is it to get this thing unlocked again, and also is there any advantage in going with the latest version... is there any major critical bugs fixed or new features that's available with the latest version which the prior firmware doesnt have. Also, from the bit of reading I have done, seems Ziphone is the best utility to do the job. Also where do I download the latest Firmware if its a viable option to go for ?

As for the whole vodacom problems I have been reading about... is there any concrete solution's out there yet ? I heard drips and drabs about upgrading your sim to a 64k version etc. But that was like only half of the solution I think.

Damn... so much things I need to know... any good sites you guys can recommend, where I can get utilities to enable to modify my ringtones and new kewl software to play with ?

Anyway, enough of the questions, lets hear it from you veteran iPhone users.

cheers ! ;)

I recommed WinPwn if you are on Windows, if you are on Mac use PwnageTool (look on the site for a Mac tutorial if thats the case)
