Well best you check with your sources, Vodacom will NOT be repairing iPhones they will be sent to Apple and Apple will NOT repair grey imports under warranty ;)

Who do you think is Apple? Core?

All mobile Apple items such as macbooks, iPods, iPhones all have international warranties. Read the documentation.

They have done so with my N95. I also confirmed with them a week ago. And you started the personal insults with saying someone must be stupid to buy my product...

And just because you don't send things overseas doesn't mean its not safe... so keep your skewed perception of international parcels to yourself please.

YOUR product??? WTF are you on about, kid? You are selling grey imports, there is nothing *yours* about it. You can thank your lucky starts that your operation is Mickey Mouse and thus not attracting attention of VC (and Apple) legal department.

I KNOW for a fact that VC will not fix any gray imports. You are welcome to keep bleating here that they will.

Keep my perceptions to myself? Why? Because they go against the wool you are trying to pull over peoples eyes?

You've been told this many times in this thread - this is a public forum, and anyone is entitled to express their opinion, just as you are allowed to peddle here. Don't get any delusions of grandeur.

My sources are Vodacom. They said they do at an additional charge of R300. That is to fix it if anything goes wrong. Not warranty. The warranty is to ship it to Apple USA.

Kid? lol... Ok grandpa.

What are you on about regarding Vodacom not finding out? I am allowed to sell whatever product I want. And they do fix it. Phone them and ASK!

Wool? ok bud... whatever.

Please continue, im over arguing with every smartass here.

Until yesterday everybody was quiet regarding what I sell and now that Vodacom has launched it everybody is a certified genius in the field.

It's easy...DONT BUY FROM ME THEN.

Go and enjoy your vodacom iPhone 3G.

My price is R5700. The batch will be arriving next week Wed or Thurs.

Hi.

Read the previous page for the reason of the price drop. And pm me your bank details so I can sort you out :)

R750 for piggy back is incorrect though. R300 is more accurate.

geewiz, you're getting flack on this forum! What's the matter with these people. BTW 300 not 750! F&^%^& I got mine in the UK, it works, but would've preferred to pay 300. You mentioned yours was turbosimmed, do you have a problem receiving calls when on 3g (6 times out 15 attempts, subscriber unavailable / voicemail).

I went the turbo sim route because the dev team are taking ages and ages. I have no problem with this but progress reports would be nice!

Thank God, at least one individual who understands the principle.

And for those of you who said I ripped you off. Please provide the proof. Remember that I didn't buy in bulk like Vodacom did then so I could not have possibly gotten it at that price a month ago. My price is cheaper now due to reasons given 2 pages ago.

Thanks for the support marine1

My Turbosim is perfect. No dropped calls or any 3G problems. Try downgrading the firmware and then updating it again. Majority of the time it's the firmware.

Thanks for the kind words :)

My proft was between R300 and R400. Don't know why they are suddenly so upset. I offered a service. Didn't force anyone. If you want to blame the price then blame the ebay sellers for charging everyone so much.

I still find the raxton igear story funny though :)

Yeah, and the funny part is after that incident he never posted here again... but that is always the case... people insult you and accuse you of things then when you prove them wrong they disappear. Go figure.

Will try it. I am not expecting it to work though as I read on other forums that this is an issue with iPhone. Have you tried this? Maybe you haven't noticed. I'm not getting dropped calls or signal problems.

if Rendier wants to sell phones then you as a consumer have a choice to buy or not to buy. Even if his price was say R15k for the 8gig and knowing it was grey stock. Its the capitalist world we in. What do you think your car you driving in be it new or second hand was marked up at? To be fair he was actually cheaper than any other retailer of the phone! I think you guys are being harsh on him. . . . He did not rob anyone did he, run away with their money? I really dont care if he got the phone for R1000, he sold them for a competitive price.

This is pure anti-capitalist behavior. The seller made some Vodafom pie in the sky something tangable. For those of us that had the money, this was a means to an end. For those of us that don't it was an opportunity to argue and talk **** on the thread thereby deviating from the core focus of this thread: talk about the iPhone.

This post written from a two week old iPhone 3g and a user that can type faster than those who got there's yesterday or today whewhewhewhewhe

Ok come now girls...play nice. Let's get back to the topic at hand. Otherwise we can create a sandpit called "K@K on Rendier Forum" for all the kids to play in.

NOW, I was using weTool on my 2G iphone. Upgraded to 2.1 (still on 2G) but can't find a replacement app. Does anyone know if they will port to 2.1 or can you suggest an alternative on Cydia, Installer or Apps store?
