Ockie, you just made my life extremely difficult. I was about to buy the Honda Brio Comfort until I accidentally found this thread. Ai tog.

Go look at one and test drive it. It is very much worth considering.

On my way home I ended up driving behind my sister in her countryman on 7th Avenue so I chased her down and flashed my lights to say hello to her and I just saw her going ape **** and flicking me the finger and then she sped away. I chased her again and phoned her (via my Harman Cardon infotainment system.....naturally) and said to what the fck are you doing? Why are you such a B? She was like what are you talking about. Told her it was me trying to say hello behind her flashing my lights. She was stunned. Did not realize it was me and my little Tata Bolt. She said the car looked massive so she though it was a douche in his Audi or BMW trying to get her to drive faster. ROFL.

Anyway, that was just a funny story that happened about minutes ago :p

Your feedback on the bolt has been interesting. It seems like a good buy. Did the dealership offer you a discount on the car? The current pricing is kinda steep.

Are you happy with boot space?

The dealership contributed R20 000.00 to my deposit. The bootspace is 100% for me, and if you need too the back seat flips down if need to.

You have me confused aswell. Consider asking Tata for a commission cos you are persuasive.

I will book a test drive.

One more question, do you use an Indian accent when using the voice prompt?

Honda Brio Comfort - R166 300
Tata Bolt XT - R 167 995,00

Now if you compare those two with their specs and features, I think the Bolt wins hands down. I am biased though, so I hope others give their thoughts two on how the Bolt compares to the Brio

lol, I have not actually used it. I need to check how you need to phrase the instructions in the manual. Something to do this weekend. I will revert back with the results.

Mostly evenly matched on std features, the Tata wins with that infotainment system, climate control as well as 31Nm more torque than the Brio, and thanks to the turbo that is available at 1500rpm, something the Brio can only dream about.

Lastly the Tata is not a beautiful car but compared to the Brio it wins hands down in the looks department.

Just a interesting bit of information I did not know. Went to Tata yesterday so they can fit my plates. Mentioned to him that I have noticed that the car takes pretty long to get all the way up to operating temp compared to my previous car. He said it is normal for turbo engines. Because the turbo pushes a lot more cold air into the engine, it keeps it cooler for longer till the engine gets up to operating speed.

I did not know that.
