The Tata Bolt Thread (Tata Lovers)

Went out last night and had to put petrol in and the petrol attendant was all over the car. Kept saying first time he is seeing this model and how nice it is, even stuck his head through the window and looked inside and more ooooh it is so nice. I was like, oh stop you......just something I threw on. lol. OK, I did not say that hehehe. Not surprised he has not seen one yet though. Dont see Bolts on the road. A pity :(

Maybe he was just flirting with you?

Tata sleeping on the job, I've never seen a Bolt advert on tv, no wonder people know so little bout them.

Initial impressions are rather good actually. Comfy seating; driving position could be better but it's lightyears ahead of Tatas from yore...

Just wanted to share my 2c about the ConnectNext infotainment system by Harman as found in the Bolt XT (Hatch & Sedan).

Its lightyears ahead of what the Koreans offer & not too far behind the VW system in the cheaper Polo models.

The system in the Corsa (Intellilink) & Mazda 2 (MZD Connect) are both better though ito additional functionality & more intuitive.

I see on the brochure it mentions only the top spec Sedan & not XT hatch get the LED DRL's...strange.

Lastly the Infotainment system allows video playback & image viewer via USB & SD Card while the car is stationary.

@Ockie have you tried that out yet?

Seems you need a usb stick to play videos meneer. Tried it in the memroy card, but it says it cant play vids on memory card. Will try and get one and make a video of it.

I think I might have just gotten my Tata guy a lead on a sale for a Bolt. I was assisting her and she told me she needs to get a new phone cause she was hijacked and the car is just gone. Told her I also had a nightmare with my car and had to buy a new one. She asked me what car I got and I told her it is a Tata Bolt. Her nose scrunched up at the name Tata but I told her more about it and she got very interested. Took her to the parking bay to show her the car and she was really really impressed. Asked me for the contact details of my Tata guy :)

You get R1000 I believe, remember reading something like that on an email I received from tata salesperson

Spotted the sedan version today and it actually looks pretty good! Pardon the filthy window:

Also, my hand doesn't look as bony as it appears in the reflection in the pic above:

Not even my hand is photogenic:cry:

wabbit, why didn't you just roll down the window? Then you wouldn't have to worry about dirty windows or boney hands?

Funny story actually. The left hand front window winds down so slowly I could unbuckle my seatbelt, get out my car and walk over to the other side of the car before it even reaches halfway.

The regulator is a bit duff on that window but I couldn't be arsed to have it seen to since I rarely use it. It makes spotting cars a bit of a nuisance, especially with PE where the weather doesn't allow having a clean car for more than a day at a time

Just got back to work from a customer visit.

Trip details:
Distance: 56 Kilomenters
Road: Mostly highway with some stop and go.
Traffic conditions: Light

Car settings:
Driving Mode: Sport
Climate Control: Auto with economy mode enabled and temp set to 21 degrees

Average fuel consumption for the trip:

4.8 Liters per 100KM

That is not too shabby I would say.
