Update:
124.3kg

Decided to drop the dose to 0.5mg a week because R1900 a month was getting a bit rough. R950 is a bit easier to cope with.

Not the fastest weight loss in the world, but I am very happy with the progress.

Fuxksakes. You're lucky you get it so cheap. I'm paying £270 every 4 weeks.

More than 1 kg gain. One of those depressing days on weighing scale. Sucks despite putting one of the best efforts over last 2-3 weeks.

OVERALL STATS:
Start 2023: 106.5 kg
Start 2024: 81.3 kg
End Jan: 80.8 kg (-0.5 kg)
End Feb: 79.6 kg (-1.2 kg)
End March: 78.3 kg (-1.3 kg) [New scale]
End April: 76.75 kg (-1.55 kg)
End May: 74.70 kg (-1.80 kg)
End June: 74.60 kg (-0.10 kg)
End July: 73.60 kg (-1.0 kg)
End August: 72.95 kg (-0.65 kg)
End September: 72.75 kg (-0.2 kg)
End October: 73.35 (+0.6)
End November: 70.45 (-2.9)

Particularly lower for the last two days. Think it's because I haven't eaten that many carbs this week.

Ouch.
I am on Mounjaro and its much cheaper.
I am on week 11, took my first 7.5mg dose on Thursday. The kwikpen with Mounjaro gets you 5 doses if you force the last one (the pharmacies all ship you 5 needles so they know you are doing it). Prices vary but with a black Friday special I paid £127 with shipping.

I use https://monj.co.uk/ to find the cheapest prices and the best discounts for Mon.

I started on 26 Sept at 130kg and I am now down to 115kg. I am 196cm and my goal weight is 100kg, but I just want to lose as much as possible before I get fitted for my suit at the end of Jan (wedding is 29 March).

I am not tracking calories because frankly its pointless. I make myself eat dinner, which these days consists primarily of a meat. I try to eat something with fibre but I frankly just lack the appetite to eat much. When I moved the UK I was able to sit down and eat a 450g rump smothered in a pepper mushroom sauce made with double cream. Now I struggle to finish a 225g steak with nothing on it except salt and pepper.

Once the Mrs is here I am taking her to the Gymshark store in Bicster, let her get herself some active wear and then I am taking her to the local gym. While she doesn't need the gym I think it will be a good way for me to build more muscle and we can work out together. Plus, I will be frank... seeing her in leggings is something I really enjoy.

Down to below 70 kg for the last 3 days (69.x). Getting below 70 was my pie in the sky goal. Never thought it would actually happen. It might not stick, but really impressed to have reached the goal.

Been losing weight the whole year (at pretty much my ideal weight around 84kg). Now time to smash beer and ice cream until I’ve got enough padding to survive 2025.

Had a bout of polymyalgia rheumatica about 4 months ago. Major stiffness in hips and shoulders. Doctor put me on Predisone which is a cortisone-based medication. Works well

What he failed to mention is that this drug elevates your blood-glucose count rapidly. Whereas my blood-glucose level hovered around 5.0, within 3 months the fasting count was 8.5. He announced that I now had cortisone-induced diabetes type 2

Since October I have been on a no-carb and no-sugar diet. I also cut down on the predisone to 1 x 5mg tables every other day. I have lost 8kg weight and the fasting blood glucose is now 5.3

Another side-effect is pancreas and liver damage. It shows up in blood tests so I also have a metformin drug to take

A different doctor (actually a friend who is a orthopaedic surgeon) said the considered the initial dose of predisone was too high and I should have been taking 1/4 of the amount prescribed

That makes me angry. Why the hell did the doctor start you on such a high dose?
Look at all the issues it has caused.

Down to 88kg from my high of 99 in April.

Was hoping to be 86 by end of the year but doubt I will get there and more than likely gain a litttle bit but still happy with the overall progress made.

Weight jumped up a kg but steady at 88kg. Highly improbable that I will be 85kg by end of the year. Ah, well.
