So I'm seriously thinking about packing things up. The only reason I am hesitant is because of my friends and family, but the ANCs track record when it comes to running this country is getting worse, not better, so I'm thinking that I should at very least start exploring my options.

So which countries would be easiest for me to emigrate to? I'm a single Indian male. 31. BA with Honours (Media/Journalism and English). I have a SA passport.

UK, by the looks of it.

Seriously thought about that since my mum's side of the family are from there, but am leaning more towards English speaking countries.

What work experience do you have?

Don't think your your qualification is really one of those special skills that fast tracks residency in proper countries, unfortunately.

I make my living in the technical writing industry, but have been trying to make inroads back into the film industry as a writer.

Look into the Netherlands. That is where I am looking at going.

Mostly English speaking, good work ethic, I personally have no issues with any of the laws they have passed recently

Easiest thing, stop caring about politics. It really doesn't matter as much as you think it does. Stop reading the tabloids.

Moving to another country is fairly easy if you are good in your field. What do you do, and who have you worked for?

It's hard to avoid politics when you're sitting in the dark as a result.

Good luck getting into the UK with a SA passport - not going to happen unless you have a job and a sponsor here. In fact, any European country is going to be a battle for you to get into without the aforementioned.

Thanks. I'll take a look and see what they have to offer and whether I have a chance in hell of getting in!

Yip the UK is not as easy anymore. And if you don't have enough money going in to support yourself as well as written proof (job contract)of an actual job, your chances are pretty slim.

Thanks for the heads up.
