Uncapped mobile data prices in South Africa compared

South African residents in the market for a plug-and-play uncapped home data package have several options from which to choose, with some providing speeds of up to 25Mbps for less than R500 a month.

The cheapest uncapped mobile data package available is Rain's 19-hours Unlimited off-peak product, which provides uncapped data between 23:00 and 18:00 for R250 per month.

I wonder if rain has already deployed their new LTE band 38 bandwidth to every site or not, I know LTE band 28 is for new SMME product but my broadband need to follow up with remember they already have band 38 support on their network and maybe lock router to band 38 test the network hourly

What is superfast broadband?​

There is no single definition of superfast broadband. The UK Government defines superfast broadband as download speeds of at least 24 megabits per second (Mbps), while Ofcom (the UK telecoms regulator), and the EU define it as 30 Mbps. The Scottish and Welsh Government also use 30 Mbps.

What is ultrafast broadband and gigabit broadband?​

Ofcom defines ultrafast broadband as broadband with download speeds of greater than 300 Mbps.

As the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport webpage explains, Gigabit broadband refers to a connection that can deliver speeds of 1 gigabit per second (Gbps).1 Gbps is equal to 1000 Mbps.
