Vodacom iPhone 4 Pricing Unveiled

Even though I have no interest in getting an iPhone again, for that price, 4500 minutes, ill take it! But I think it would just be better if the typo was fixed.

MTN 200 @ R379pm (comes with free iphone 16gb, R200 airtime, 25 sms's, and 150mb per month)
I wouldnt call that a rip off at all....
 
Does either MTN or Vodacom throw one of these into the bundle?

If so - count me in :D Seriously though, if my contract was ending any time soon I'd definately go for the R379 option from MTN. I wonder though, would you be able to upgrade to one of these packages?
 
I just came back from an MTN store and all I can say to MTN well done for showing the other competitor a run for their money, a lot of people queued up at the mtn branch I was at, I assumed it was madness queuing up for a hand set at weird hours of the morning........ I am happy I got myself an iPhone :)

Yes, I think MTN has really stepped up an made very competitive contract prices.
I went there fully intending to say: Sorry I cant afford that monthly price (judging by previous Vodacom bundles), but MTN was much better. Just waiting for my sim to activate...
 
Vodacom is insane. Who on earth would pay this but a high end business user.
I love iPhones to death, but I suspect they are not the best for non-create business people.

Would have thought we see a few more posts from newly got iPhoine 4 users ... must say that 00h00 on a weekday night is a bit rough.

I am currently on an iPhone Talk 120, which expires on the 27th.
100 sms’s? Could be more but not really bothered.
120 (130) minutes talk time? More than enough for me.
250mb data? Ridiculous?

Every single month, I have to watch and avoid doing what I want with the phone, because I do not want to go over the limit. Vodacom says that the average iPhone user does not exceed 250mb, so why should they raise the limit? I say the average user does not exceed 250mb cause they cannot afford to pay their stupid out of bundle rates. If they had just increased the available data I would have been happy.

Their bundles are outdated. While they may be raking it in now, I hope they are not too surprised when they go belly up. Maybe not today, but with this business attitude, and the bitter taste they leaving in many customer’s mouth, it is inevitable. (Maybe by then, Trevor will be available again, so he can save them?)

379 over 24 months is just over 9k
plus R4800 IN AIRTIME and bout 1200 for the sms's n data bundle
so thats bout 6k value n 3 k for the iphone 4 16 gb
not bad
was there any payment upfront? for the micro sim n connection fee?
