Web Africa Home Uncapped Feedback

Steam and FreeZone does count towards your thresholds, however if there are massive downloads to do it's always best to do them after hours, in Download Plus hours :)
You can game on these accounts. Gaming is on High priority.

Hi

I am confused.
You keep saying that gaming is high priority.
You also say that the uncapped uses the silver priority.

In the link you supply for the priority levels silver is shown to have gaming at medium, so which is it?

So when throttled and the network is under strain, will all protocols be deprioritised?

That is, even my http may be throttled?

still going well on my 4mb account

I see that WA uses the IP of ZANews for their product marketing, I've contacted them about this.

Except that I'm getting a constant 100KB/s download on KOTOR and I have no worries of that dropping due to shaping. HTTP traffic should not be shaped, it's just a annoyance if it does. I don't mind p2p shaping on the other hand, but my biggest downloads are usually HTTP. This is where MWEB has the upper hand IMO.
Wonder how bad xlive and psn would be

Strange thing is I've tried the uber priority account (home+addon) and it gave me the exact same pings in rift as with my normal pre-paid.

KB Article: "Even if your service is switched to a lower priority, browsing remains awesome."
Streaming? youtube? xlive? skynews? psn?

I have moved over to the Web Africa uncapped account 4Mb line and I can say I am extremely happy ( especially now that the SAT3 problem is over and done /touches wood). I do not download the interwebz and so cannot speak for heavy downloaders that are constantly downloading and what the speeds would be like when you are "deprioritized" as I have not hit the threshold yet. Just general speeds of downloading I am getting 250-300Kb/s and I am happy with this.

I actually switched over from Mweb to Web Africa because of the gaming and in my personal opinion they are the best for European servers and I have tried quite a number of different ISP's.

Much better since Freezone data will be freezoned now! Looking really tempting will have to convince wifey!

Not recommending this account for gaming. League Of Legends LAG. It so bad its unplayable even though my ping is 198ms which could be packet loss. Its just horrible and now I don't have another account to fall back on and got a leave. SIGH

Good for downloading BAD for gaming.....

I'm kinda wondering why I'm getting 0KB/s on news at the moment (international server), as usual http is flying.

I strongly disagree, I get ~180ms ping to EU and can download and play at the same time (I accidently left my downloads on while playing, didn't even notice it).

Well it was going good and I also get a low latency to Germany @ 200ms but the lag is just so bad you can't play. It works fine on other isp's with a higher ping but with webafrica it lag so much which might suggest packet loss. That I think is the problem.
