(Going over to prepaid works fine. just my uncapped not working)

Morning,

There is scheduled maintenance being performed between 2am-8am on submarine cable systems in the Mediterranean sea as per our status page . This might impact our International capacity during this time.

Our apologies for the inconvenience and I will post further feedback as soon as I get more information.
 
Anyone on the 4Mbps uncapped package? I`m thinking of signing up for it and would appreciate some feedback regarding direct/torrent download speeds, Youtube and shaping issues (if any) :)

Hey WAJustinW/WAJeff. If possible, could you perhaps please post the reason WebAfrica makes use of a calendar months' cancellation period in this thread. I'm trying to compose a list of which ISPs make use of this cancellation method and the justifications behind it. Thanks.

:erm: download still slow, but speedtest all of a sudden better.

Hi.

My 4meg uncapped has been complete rubbish lately. Youtube doesn't buffer on 360p, I'm getting high latency in game, direct file downloads download at 5 kbs and to top it all off I have to constantly reset my connection because every 2 hours(or whenever my internet decides its time to be mean) my internet becomes unusable (1000 ping in games, webpages don't load at all).

Can you please PM me your customer code so that I may get our ADSL guys to investigate.
 
This new star rating system is getting worse and worse!

In the last 10 day rolling window I only did 38gig on my 4Mb/s connection. As a result I have been "awarded" 3 out of 5 stars. What this means is that during office/on-peak time I only get a 1Mb/s connection for both streaming videos and FTP.

I feel this is TOTALLY unreasonable...even as I write this I'm getting a 2-3Mb/s connection all because I used a measly 38 gig over 10 days!

It seems that to be in the green(5 stars) with Webafrica I would have to use in the MB instead of GB per day.

Was willing to give WA some slack cause I always got good service but this sounds terrible.
