Day sleeper,Digital Soldier...what packages are you on? Shaped,Unshaped, Capped, uncapped.Just curious

Not to flame, but this has no bearing - regardless of how IS tries to sell it.
If I pay for a 3GB 512 capped service, I deserve what I pay for - I do not expect to be told that "Business" users get priority service. Fark that.

IS's attitude yesterday reeked - they refused to admit any problem until well after 11am, and claimed that no one else had problems, except me. Well, from posts on this forum, Mr Beep for one has been on their case for days, so it is just blatant lies.

IS is just plain pathetic! why must MrBeep go around getting IS clients to report problems. Surely IS can monitor the network themselves.

Its so f_cked. they suck. i hope they go insolvent quickly and somebody who feels like doing proper business takes them over.

i think its official IS sucks! Telkom doesn't force them to oversell dsl!

I seriously doubt that ISs current problems are a result of overselling. For them to oversell to this point would just be retarded.

The more likely cause is that Telkom is dragging thier feet fixing problems that affect IS in the hopes that disgruntled customers will jump ship in frustration. That Telkom is capable of such unfair, monopolistic actions is indisputable.

Making statements like yours is trollish in the extreme. Youre playing straight into Telkoms hands and youre doing our cause for cheaper broadband no end of damage.

Every customer IS loses is a customer Telkom gains, which just strengthens their monopoly and protracts our economic slavery to their profiteering.

I am in CT. No probs on IS for me so far today. Well i would call R500/month for 15k 'broadband' a problem but that is a telkom issue, not an IS one!

I totally agree with you!

At least IS tries to make a difference by giving 30gbs of local after cap.

This is all Telkoms fault!

Why are some users experiencing no problems and others major problems. Its a Telkom issue!

But also remember about a month or 2 ago IS did almost oversell and they asked the resellers to halt any signups from new users then a week later it was sorted so maybe there is a chance that they already oversold their bandwidth again ??

And the problem is still not fixed normally even in daytime I would be able to atleast open myadsl.co.za with my IS account now I cant or send/receive email

A Techie confirmed this morning that they have been fielding ADSL complaints this whole week as if there's no tomorrow. He also confirmed that IS has oversold their ADSL service.

Since when has IS not been doing retarded things?

If that is true, then why am I having no problems at all in Durban?

My downloads are maxing out my line.

But people in Cape Town are having problems.

Obviously it is a Telkom problem.

why i think IS are overselling!

1.) the network seems to be getting slower and slower.
2.) they now capped at 30GB because of too many users (like chuck norris)
3.) they even stopped signing people up during the IPC issue
4.) they put up big boards at airport to attract custom, when there international bandwidth stays exatly the same.
5.) they oversell more than SAIX do because saix pings are lower.
6.) they charge less than saix isp because their contention is higher

YES !! As usual its the end user who has to run after everyone else and get some one to look at the problem.

That said, MrBeep ( Openweb ) really has been making an effort, how much effect it has is another story, regardless anby effort is appreciated ...
