Wind blowing hard causing adsl to lose sync

I'm experiencing the same problem. Wind is extremely heavy in my area and it looks like my phone line is going to snap any minute now.

I'm honestly thinking about chopping that damn cable... At least now I know they do actually replace them. It's the thick black cable that comes from the pole to your house, right? I've been holding back on doing so because I was worried they wouldn't put up a new one. But hell, the thing did get hit DIRECTLY with lightning to the point the wiring inside the house exploded (no, I'm dead serious) so it pretty much has to go if i ever want working internet again.

They cant refuse to change it if its broken, you pay every month for it.

Just make a tiny cut in random places, and they will change it.

Or just pull it until it snaps or breaks so it's not a clean cut. Blame wear and tear or a tree branch or winds or something.
