Winter Warmers - How do you keep warm @ bedtime?

Electric blanket made by safeway, body heat is all good and well but i suffer from pins and needles if i have to use my fiancee for heat so the electric blanket is awesome, plus climbing into a warm bed straight off the bat is awesome.

You went for the model with the realistic heated skin?

Have tried numerous heating effects. What works best for me is a hot water bottle

How is a good down duvet long term? Does it go lumpy?

The BF and GF has the same problem.... they all go a bit lumpy after a while

I've got a polar fleece type blanket that i have under my duvet, ocassionally my cat (read: cuddly heater) refuses to sleep on top of the duvet and crawls under the blanket with me

Goose down duvet. Bought one last year; didn't even need any blankets. And I get cold easily, so that's something.
AFAIK, @home have them on sale at the moment too.

Jip you just need one of those and some winter sheets and you are sorted.

I can't do without my bean bags. Just before I'm ready to sleep, hubby warms it in the microwave for a few minutes. By the time I get to bed its nice and warm.
