Hi guys,

I was wondering if anybody knows about Xpress? Stuff like speeds, game latency and costs? It is basically the only option I have left after Telkom couldn't install a line and NeoTel has no coverage here.

I have them. with the recent weather it was bad last night for about an hour then back up. Although i seem to be running at 2mbits which is half which I signed up for. Contention ratios could be the reason. I connect 12kms away so it could be the weather too.

Not too shabby, today is the only day that Ive asked WTF.
 
Im chuffed. My newsgroups topout at 480 (im on the 4mbits home uncapped) and HD streaming never has an issue. Torrents also go well.

It is unshaped, but peer-to-peer is basically blocked during business hours which is understandable. Other than that, its better than mweb (which seems to be down as I also download at my folks and SABNZB is at zero now).
 
R880 pm. its only a 3 month contract so I had to pay R2k for installation.

did a speedtest now and it said 13ms for ping. i dont game so I have no idea what it means.
 
I'm the massive hail storm yesterday the connection was still doing full line speed.

Impressed.
 
Anyone have any feedback on these guys ? after a request from WAPA these guys got in touch with me , not seeing activity on this , so either they are very good with no complaints , or no one is using them.

Prices don't look to bad , so might be an option.
 
Getting them out is a mission you need to be pro active. They are very busy.

I had an issue last year that turned out to be a bad power supply for the antenna which caused a voltage drop and disconnect.

Been perfect since the power supply was replaced (and that was after they replaced the antenna twice hehe).

I'm happy, but can't wait for fibre.
