Zest T1

Ideally, here's what I'd like to see.
Option to buy an additional stronger battery- it's bordering on uncomfortable but its adequate.
A slight tweak to the sensitivity/responsiveness of the touch screen (it's only really apparent when typing messages) if possible.
A repartitioning of the internal storage. I think if they bundled the phone with an SD card and made all storage available as internal storage right from the start, they'd have a real winner- it doesn't even have to be a big SD card, 8 gig along with the phone should do nicely to start one off with. As it stands, I'd recommend this phone to those looking to get something decent but unwilling to fork out for a new Galaxy S or the likes- I'm just having a bit of a personal issue reconciling the storage configuration with the rest of the phone, which is great generally speaking.


Edit: I wonder if anyone at Afrihost or Zest is aware of and reading this here thread?
I've still not been given an avenue of reporting bugs. This wasn't addressed in their reply on Facebook.

According to their Facebook page, bugs should be messaged to them on Facebook.

If they are not, they should.

Does the zest t1 have a blink notification light? Ie when messages come through it flashes to say u have a message.
 
Not that I'm aware of, but there is a setting to use the flash for this, at least for sms and voice call. But it isn't exactly configurable.

It seems to happen when u use the clear ram button. Note to everyone who has a habit of doing that.
 
Lol. Well.... Makes sense. Phone ram doesn't work the same as pc ram. having more of it free isn't necessarily a good thing. Freeing up phone ram normally means killing background apps or processes- and as you've come to experience, usually bringing with it, a loss of functionality.

Ya I don't do it on my p6 but my girlfriend was doing it on the t1. I know for a fact it doesn't do that on my phone but at least we figured it out because there isn't much of a reason to do it so it's not critical.
 
Can someone please run an Antutu benchmark test on this phone. I am curious to see what sort of score it gets.

MyBB did one in the review. It got about 16000.
My phone also got somewhere around 16k

BTW, I also bought the MiFi device on offer, but I think I'm gonna like this phone- my previous phone is/was the Galaxy Nexus. My only issue is the storage, more so the way its partitioned, not necessarily the amount. Must find a way to root and repartition :whistle:

Got mine this morning and getting "Invalid IMEI" on both SIM-slots (S1= Vodacom, S2=MTN) :( It was a long wait for it as it is, now i guess it will have to go back and the wait becomes so much longer.
 
Looking forward to getting mine on Thursday. Got a new Note3 that's annoying the ××× out of me due to its huge size.

Hoping it's size is just right for the pocket.
