Zuma makes apartheid aside

I have a question :)

lets just say he was just having a bit of fun, taking the piss... If he was...

He didn't answer the question! He was dodging the question by making a joke... either way he failed coz he just admitted failure on service delivery

self pwned

Yes, generations of oppression and deliberate underdevelopment can be rectified in 17 years. Funny how certain forumites constantly try to sweep this Apartheid thing "under the carpet" and suggest its effects can be undone so quickly...

It can be undone a lot quicker than the complete lack of development on the continent before we arrived.

I've never said everything wrong with the clountry is Apartheids fault. But some people go on as if nothing is Apartheids fault. Dogmatic denialism. That's not quite true and it shouldn't be taboo to blame something on Apartheid and immedietly have people dismiss that concept straight off hand. That is to deny a very real part of our recent history and to put your head in the sand.

clountry ?? = Clown tree ???

Yes, I agree the ANC have managed to turn SA into an tree for clowns

dude, place blame where blame is due. I'm all for that. Agreed

but how the hell can you blame apartheid for a township that doesn't have service delivery?

the local government has had many years to re-route the garbage trucks/deliver some bins/run some power etc etc

Explain it then. Mila's post. And enough with the personal stuff. I have no intention of getting involved in name calling.

Mila is parodying your constant insistence on countering every criticism of the current government with assumptions that all whites in SA today actively participated in perpetuating the system of oppression of blacks, and took no part in building the freedoms we all get enjoy in the present. These evil whites , because of all their sins, should just sit back, STFU and accept whatever the current government deems they deserve
Added to this, Mila also pokes fun at the fact that there was no “Revolution” and the ANC has never been a real liberation movement. You don’t seem able to understand or accept this and seem to stuck in the 80’s (to coin a comment from Blu :) ) with exactly the same antiquated ideas as the very Nats you scorn

... that's how I understood the series of posts from Mila anyway.

At last someone that sees the deeper issue....so easy it is to joke or to mock, when you have not walked in those shoes.

Nope. I think what most peopel are trying to say is show us what you have actually done to rectify the situation of "deliberate underdevelopment" in the last 17years. With one of the highest budgets for education around, surely we should have gone forwards instead of backwards .

Are you intoxicated ? I said this is what we lacked. You must read all the words. I dare anyone to explain to me what Mila is trying to say in those three posts. Try say it again without the broken attempt at sarcasm.

You see if I am being sarcastic towards something I need to parrot/present it in a way that the inherent absurdity is exposed. I simpy can't do this when you make references to the French and Americans and Brits having us in bomb shelters etc. I just don't have any refences to what you're alluding to and what takes your mind there. That's just absurdity without out the poignance and relevance.
I was never sacastic. I agree with you.

110%
you are right. Nobody ever did or said anything about apartheid.( NATS that is )
The ANC fought a bloody war. It was terrible.

Dude, now you've gone and ruined it, I was having such a nice laugh...

whether or not Zuma was being witty is kinda irrelevant in my view.

bottom line is that the current government is letting things slide slowly but surely. luckily here in the western cape we are run by the DA, which is a huge contributing factoring to things being better in general that the rest of south africa... but lets not go there.

i watched an american pastor last night (youtube) speak about how black people should not be running a country. he referred to africa on the general level, and then proceeded to go into more details on how countries in africa have failed time and time again "because a black man doesnt know how to manage a country"

i thought this quite interesting coming from a black man himself. not trying to stir the pot or anything, I just think its quite fitting regarding the current scenario in south africa

edit : I'll post the link later for the youtube vid. Im blocked at the office

If you folks are outraged that the A.N.C can't deliver utopia in 17 years, you must really have HATED the previous government who barely lifted a finger to help people for 70 years. I bet you were really outspoken then.

At least now we know what your search habits are. You searched for something you believed and you surprised that you found a video to validate it?
