Best option is to do what saguran said. Just move all you can.
 
I just ditched CM 10.1.3 RC2 v3.0

Discovered that my HDMI to TV adapter doesnt work. I imagine the functionality has been stripped from the ROM.

Trying Omega V13_AOKP Milestone 2.0 JB 4.2.2

Adapter works which is a good start... 20% battery drain since I unplugged this morning at about 08h30. Light usage, no video/music, two short calls.
 
Hi Gents,

I currently have a Nordic region of JB 4.1.2 on my phone. I might have sold it to someone and I would like the stock FW back on the phone. If I did a factory reset would the FW roll back?

No, the only way to "roll back" to stock firmware is to flash it.

But what is wrong with the current ROM? If it is a Samsung release leave it at that, the only thing that will be missing is... nothing.

Like MyWorld said, there is no reason to go back. You are on stock (one of them).

I had the same problem, from a 2nd hand phone where the previous owner didn't factory reset- Andorid Sys was trying to juggle two accounts or something. Battery life was horrendous.

After a factory reset, battery life pretty much tripled.

Thanks, but last week I dropped my phone and the screen went solid black ='(. Using my old Xperia mini at the moment, still contemplating on what to do, since I'm only due for upgrade in Feb 2014
 
so I am finally going to root, as I want Android 4.2 for my SGS.
What 4.2 ROM do you guys recommend?
 
Oh, there are so many to choose from.

If you want something close to stock, then go with Omega v24. Stock with a few enhancements.

CM10.1, should be nice and stable.

CM10.2, new kid on the block, some people are very happy with this, but you can expect an odd bump in the road here and there.

Paranoid, Jellybam, etc. The list just goes on.
 
Android 4.2 - go CM 10.1.3 stable. Fast, functional, and rock solid.

I've jumped around amongst the ROMS, and always come back to CyanogenMod.

What reading resource do you recommend to get me up to speed on the different ROMs?
 
After more than 2 yrs of loyal service, my S2 has been benched. Got the Note 3 earlier this week. I must say there is no better allround device in terms of durability and longevity than the S2...she will always be my first android love...
 
Been trying to root all day.
Can't get it right, despite using OneClickRoot and SuperOneClick.
What tool will root my phone?
