Something from another thread has made me interested.
Do you have a heater on?
Eskom is now blaming this load shedding on the weather - but we have no heater on now, and no "air coolers" either. So in effect, we are SAVING power today - so why the load shedding?
What about your office?

Likewise, in fact here in Richards Bay we are using less electicity as we dont have to use the airconditioners. Its amazing the after BHPBilliton made its smelter/potline closure announcement that all of a sudden electricity usage is in the BROWN area.......its been GREEN and YELLOW for weeks. What changed?

/Me thinks Eskom and Guavamint have caught a little wake up.
/Me thinks too the BHPBilliton are making a major threat to Guavamints employment stats.

by weather, they mean the rain which causes wet coal.
Whether this is true is another story altogether

4 Generators are out of action.
I also think that Etzinger studied at the Lulu(ex Telkom) school of applied lying!

"This is a system condition which has arisen at very short notice, and was unforeseen," Etzinger said.
WTF? They STILL do not foresee failures, unscheduled maintenance and changes in demand.
I need a BIG clue stick, and a sound proof room - maybe that will wake these people up.

Electric heaters are a bit of a waste for most people, one can always dress warmly, use blankets, etc.
But don't let that detract from the fact Guavamint are still morons.

I agree in part.
I have serious issues with arthritic hands - and typing with gloves on is not doable - so I begrudgingly use a heater. At night, we seldomly have the heater on though - and normally just in the kids room as she is too young to "control the blanket".
