Good Evening i have just changed my dvd writer in my RH1999H ( Aust )
with a LG H55N Firmware version 1.05.the writer is recognised by the machine
but when i start recording it only records for 20 seconds & then says unknown disc error,i have tried several discs & still get the same result .
i read somewhere i could upgrade the firmware to 1.05 RPC1
As my unit does not support the common firmware of SL40
Can someone tell me if i need the RPC1 Firmware & if so where can i get it
I thought i might have brought a dodgy writer so i brought another one & got the same result ,if my new Lg writer is not compatible can someone tell me which writer would work? by the way it plays DVDs just fine
