Right from this post you will be able to gather that i am definitely a noob!!!!
my questions is this please forgive me if i say something stupid i am bound to haha!!

right sorry um i have heard from a friend so not sure if it is true but South Africa is installing or trying to install a major international cable???? if so that should mean that telkom fixed lines should be pretty awesome right????

but now with my iBurst i get useless speeds i mean internet dowloads i max at like 5-8kb/s and on torrents like 1.5kb/s, so i am keen to change to maybe hsdpa or something but i not really wat to do!!!

so sort of asking if i had to change now should i or rather stick to iBurst, and changing in the future, should i go fixed line!!!

please correct me if i is wrong!!!

thanx for any kind of help!!!

It will take a few years for the cables to be running at full strength and even then there is no guarantee that prices will come down (and judging from history in this country, I would not hold out too much hope).

In terms of iBurst, the sooner you get rid of that paperweight, the better. You are currently experiencing bad signal and given your post, have not yet had to deal with the rest of iBursts inept staff.

I will not reiterate what has already been discussed at length on this forum, but can suggest that you take and evening or two to research the problems that people have had with this poor excuse for a service provider.
