We pass a law that public officials, when sick or injured, MUST got to a public hospitals.

(Watch how quickly they get fixed up) :D
 
Ah, but then they would be admitted to the "special" ward/wing of the hospital. The place nobody else ever gets to see with blue light ambulance convoy right up to the door, nogal.

Yup, we share the public roads with these *******s, but when they need to get to the airport they force you off the road to make room for them. They don't improve the roads for everyone, just for themselves. :sick:
 
Slightly OT, but my father in law ended up in a public hospital when his medical aid ran out (it was not a very good medical aid). Some of the public hospitals now have a Folateng ward, a semi private ward where the patient is still responsible for some costs, but it is WAY cheaper than private hospitals. I was quite suprised. The ward was clean, staff were attentive and friendly, each bed had a TV, and the actual medical care was good.

Those wards are both awesome and cheap. Wouldn't use a private hospital anyway due to them. Then again - whenever myself r a family member has been in one - we get around 5/6 doctors visitng at various times of the day (iz nice to be friendly with Cubans:D)
 
Ja the are good public hospitals aswell as wards. like McCords in Durbz
 
We should ban them from using private security companies too. Tell them that 10111 is the only number they need to know. That and 28, because they should be forced to use their own money to defend themselves when they are accused of a crime. Did JZ pay for all his own legal fees?
 
In the most recent SAMJ (South African Medical Journal) they had a piece on the proposed NHI legislation. It seems that private hospitals won't be done away with but they may be legislated to offer only services which the government does NOT provide - ie if the state offers it, private may not.

Who gives a ****e when you consider the fact that criminals get sent to private hospitals. We are fooked, just admit it.
