HTC Wildfire for R99 per month from Altech Autopage

Nice Android phone competes with the Experia Mini at R99. HTC needs to get Froyo or Gingerbread on these phones to. Bump up the data bundle on this package and you have one of the best packages on the market in terms of pricepoint.
 
Nice entry level phone..the processor is a bit underpowered though..so no angry birds :)
 
Pity about the 240x320 resolution which means a lot of apps including Angry Birds won't be available or work properly. I really would not want to be trapped in a 2 year contract with this outdated and very underwhelming phone.
 
Have had this phone for 2 months already. It is a brilliant phone. Can do all that my buddies iPhone4 can do at a 3rd of the price. Would really like to know when LEAF/HTC will upgrade to FROYO. I believe it is a lot faster and could compensate for the slower processor.
 
I have this phone, angry birds works on it. It just takes a minute to load the first time and there is some slow down when a lot of blocks is falling. This phone is excellent for the price and I like it more than the x10 mini.

All that an iPhone can do? Look, I'm no Apple fanboy but even I just wiped that twak off my screen...
 
Ok so my contract is expiring at the end of the month and I'm thinking of getting this phone on TopUp 135.
For those have have/had this phone I'd appreciate some feedback.

Do not go for a Wildfire unless you just want a "dumbphone" or have an iPod for games.

If you do get one, make sure you dont install 2.2 update as this locks the future ability to root the phone and place a lighter/faster Android on it

Ok thanks.What happens if it comes standard with 2.2 installed.
 
Optimus one without a doubt, other than a slightly worse camera, everything is better. And it comes with n drive free.
