Cell C in Krugersdorp - Urgent Please

Hi everyone

Can someone please confirm Cell C's 3G reception in the Krugersdorp / Rant en Dal area?

I am sick and FU***** tired of Vodacom and are making the move to either Cell C or MTN.

I will rather pay higher fees on accessing the Internet than sitting up with Vodacom's Sh**!

I want to buy Cell C's modem first thing tommorow morning, but first need to know about their coverage, else I'll have to go with MTN.

I appreciate any replies.
 
Go through the Speedtest thread and see if anyone has posted a speedtest from your area.

If so, PM that person and ask them if things are still great and if Cell C is reliable in that area.

Don't go out and buy a dongle if you aren't absolutely sure you are covered.
 
If you want to be sure, ask if somebody close to your area can come and do a physical test with a cellC router before you splash out the money.

And if it turns out that you've got good reception, don't go with a contract, but rather get the prepaid option.

Alternatively if your Cell phone is 3G compatible go to your local Cell C store and purchase a sim card, rica it with all the necessary paperwork. Once you arrive home place the sim into the hand set and check if the 3G symbol is visible or alternatively if you do have a compatible modem - test it before coughing up the cash. Buy air time etc, do speedtest

Rant En dal - close to Key west shopping centre if not mistaken.

That is why I dont want to take any chances

There might be sight planned for areas like Kagiso, Horizon View,Panorama, lindheaven. Unfortunately for now we can't confirm exact time frame of the roll- out.

Will keep you posted.
