No 3G BIS Coveragre today

I am in East London and I just looked at my phone and it has 3g in lowercase with no BB symbol and I have no services (BBM, EMAIL, BROWSING)

If I switch the phone to 2G mode, then all works........ seems like a big problem with Vodacom today

Can anyone confirm?
 
I'm in Cape Town, and only have GSM on my 8520, since before 7am. Also on Vodacom.

Logged a fault with Vodacom and they said they would investigate. They also said they would SMS me a reference number. Still waiting......
 
Earlier today I had 3G on Vodacom (Centurion) on my Torch. I drove to work (Bryanston) and I had no signal at all. I turned off my network connection and back on again, and it didn't help. No service at all. I rebooted my phone, and had GPRS for about 20 minutes. I then had 3G for a few minutes, and then dropped back to EDGE. I keep wavering between 3g and 3G, edge and EDGE, service and no service. Half my apps complain that I don't have a connection even when it says 3G or EDGE.
 
I also had no service. Switched to 2G and now I have service. I'm in Durbs.
 
EDGE working here in EL, but it took several minutes to latch on after switching from 3G.
 
Seems back to normal, I also didnt have this morning. Vodacom.
 
Full 3G BIS now up again in East London. SMS's and emails pouring into the phone.
