Hosting Advise

Hey guys

Im looking at a few "cheap" hosting options for a website i'd like to setup. This would be mainly used for R&D purposes. So i need the basics plus probably 1 MySQL database.
So far, i've narrowed it down to 2... AfriHost's Gold Home package and Elite Host's Unlimited Plus package.
Please advise...

i have a R29pm account (bronze) at afrihost for one client who has a windows written site [aspx] (our other clients run on linux servers at hetzner) ; the afrihost account seems fine. otherwise hetzner is good

PS: just dont use any free sh@t that you find, there is a reason why is is free

Thanks, im also leaning towards Afrihost at this time.... and yeah, i've also had some bad experiences with free hosting :)

Get yourself an amazon ec2 instance for R&D. When you are not using it you can just stop the instance and you can basically do whatever you like on the VM. Cheap too.
