Faerie Glen woman shot dead


A young woman has been shot dead in Faerie Glen, in eastern Pretoria in what appears to have been a hit on her life.

Neighbourhood Watch officials told Eyewitness News that 25-year-old Channel Helen dropped off her child at a nearby crèche on Tuesday.

As she was leaving, two men on a black and silver motorbike approached and one of them fired a single shot at her before fleeing.

Helen managed to drive a few metres before crashing her car.

Sources said bystanders removed her from her car but she died a short while later.

It is understood she was experiencing problems with her estranged husband.


WTF is this world coming to?? Anyone know where exactly?

Seriously though - she probably threatened to take her husband for everything he got including taking the children. Knowing that most divorce cases turns out in favour for the wife - he decided to take this drastric action if indeed he was involved.

If he was involved he should obviously still be punished accordingly.

Well, seeing as he is possibly d00s enough to arrange a hit on her he is obviously not good husband material so he needed to be divorced.

Other possible reason for this event could be drug related.

Condelences to the young ladies family in any event.

Informed opinions yes but blaming the laws for the murder of a young mother is a bit bleh.

And if your oppinion is correct then in the way he reacted - he should have got custordy and he is a stable person able to bring up a child in a good enviroment??

Look I don't know what goes on in the head of some of these couples that are seperated or going through a divorce or severe stress.
What I do know is that Desperate people will do desperate things. If the divorce law was more fair - who knows, this could've been prevented. That is offcourse if the husband was involved. ATM this is all speculation.
 
Shame man, I hope it wasn't that phantom chicky we had on here yesterday moaning about her estranged (and strange) husband.
 
I heard the calls on the (neighbourhoodwatch) radio this morning.
There is evidence not in the news so I will not divulge that, but there are a few leads that should help to apprehend the two bikers.
Edit: the bike's colour is wrong :p

The chances of the killers being White is just about 99%. Very rarely you see Black guys on a Bike, and those that do don't get up to this kind of things, mainly professionals.
