Biggest and best South African websites: January 2012

It would seem that there are alot of non Sounth African visitors for mybroadband:
Local 545 155
Total 1 001 389
Non Local 456 234

Thats 45.56% unique viewers for mybroadband outside of South Africa

Only partly correct. You have to run Effective Measure code, which does have some cost (but not high for smaller guys).

This is however the most accurate list available - and the only one with audited stats. Effective Measure's unique visitors tracking is also known to be far more strict (and accurate) than other traffic measurement systems, so these stats really are as good as it gets.
 
I just wish they'd kill their damn survey pop up all over the place, it's really getting irritating, TF for adblock

And as a website owner you allow EM to drop 3rd party cookies to track (anonymous) usage behavior in an endeavor to provide aggregate marketing analytics to their advertising customers - pretty much a sensitive topic for any website honoring privacy concerns of their userbase. I agree, a valuable tool for pure content sites, but in my opinion an absolute no if one wants to uphold privacy concerns across the customer base. Despite EM not collecting any PII, you will be shocked to see what information and usage behavior is collected in this manner (Google Analytics is in comparison a non-issue and more essential for any web-site owner).

Just today I had an issue where some JQuery code worked everywhere EXCEPT on IE

You do? The majority of companies (and now devs) have pulled their support for IE6.

Yes, although all the XP machines I've seen around here are on IE8, the general public will still have those people who can't get windows updates due to piracy, lack of cheap bandwidth, or general incompetence.
