Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!

Why the hell didn't they just introduce the permanent offers now?

This waiting spree will be their downfall...

I guess MTN service and support is so good that they don't have worry very much about pricing.

They had better evaluate quickly or they are bound to lose customers.

This is quite pathetic, now anyone signing a new contract is likely to go with Vodacom, why would they not? I wonder if it has anything to do with waiting for ICASA approval?

... but it will be replaced with a new permanent offer in due course.
Do you guys not read the articles before commenting.

Yea, but when is due course, exactly?? Not currently if I gather correctly.

Well I stopped buying their 1GB this month.. without the "extra" GB it's just not worth it.. I've dropped down to the 500MB bundle.. :(

MTN is just lucky that Vodacom does not have 3G coverage in my area... otherwise I'd switch in a blink..

Yes, their coordination seems a bit poor, but hopefully they will release their Vodacom beater soon. I've been waiting for a more competitive 500Mb bundle.

One step forward, two steps back. Don't they realise that this is a fiercely competitive environment and they need to be pulling out the big guns and not sharpening their army knife! I'm hoping the new deal will knock our socks off but I doubt it because Vodacom's offer is pretty low IMO. Maybe they spent too much money on their new TV ads and need to rake in a few bucks to cover the costs :D

MTN don't seem like a bunch of retards (arguably) so I just get the feeling they were trying to call Vodacom's bluff, and then got stuck with a low pair. :-P
You win some...
